FAQ
Open the pack, remove the wick, holder, and stickers, then reseal; microwave the sealed pouch in 30–45s bursts or warm it in simmering, not boiling water until fully liquid — do not exceed 80 °C. Center and stick the wick tab in a clean, dry, room-temp heat-safe jar, keep the wick upright, and pour, leaving ~1 cm headspace (use two wicks if the jar is wider than ~8 cm).
Let set 2 hours, trim the wick to ~8 mm, and light; first burn 2–3 hours for an edge-to-edge melt.
The Mylk Pack is a refill only. Pour it into any clean, heat-safe vessel you love (glass, ceramic, metal) or top up a Mylk candle you already own. We’ll share updates if standalone jars become available.
Any heat-safe vessels, including ceramic, thick glass, metal or shells, would work just fine. Avoid cracked or very thin glass, porous containers, wood.
No special tools. Scented wax, two cotton wicks, and a wick holder are included in the package.
You just need a microwave-safe mug (or a pot of simmering water) to melt the pouch, a clean, dry heat-safe jar at room temperature for making your candle, and scissors to trim the wick.
Yes — in short 30–45s bursts, upright in a microwave-safe container. Stop when wax is fully liquid or at 65–75 °C for best results; do not overheat past 80 °C.
- Let it cure: Your candle is ready to burn in 2–3 hours once the wax is fully set, but we recommend waiting at least 48 hours before lighting for better scent throw.
- First burn matters: Give the first burn 2–3 hours to reach a full melt pool — this prevents tunneling.
- Match wick to jar: Use one wick for jars ≤8 cm wide; use two wicks for wider jars, spaced evenly.
- Trim every time: Keep the wick at 6-8 mm before each burn to reduce soot and mushrooming.
- Mind the session length: Burn 4 hours max at a time;
- Control the environment: Burn on a heat-safe, level surface, away from drafts for an even melt.
- Pouring pointers: Pour into a room-temperature jar and leave ~1 cm headspace; don’t move the jar until fully set.
- Store smart: Keep finished candles cool, covered, and out of direct sun to preserve fragrance and color.
